Revlon’s soft nude #070. ;)
Floss, nail clippers (bonus since they have a mini nail file too), and Blistex.
For seven dollars you can get a pretty nice dupe from Hard Candy: Glow All The Way. You get 2.7oz of it too. :o
That’s the only cheap dupe I know of in that shame shade of pink. (Of course they’re not the exact same, but pretty similar).
I went out to the drugstore just for you Anon! Looking for the best cheap one that I could find, and surprisingly … it’s from N.Y.C. #308 Retro Red. It retails in Canada at Wal-Mart for $2.00. It lasts alright and goes on somewhat matte, but not completely matte. You’ll have to reapply after meals and drinks. I’m not a fan of the packaging because it leaves little indents in the lipstick when you move it up and down, but hey … it’s two bucks.
It’s kind of controversial when it comes to minerals and what you shouldn’t/should avoid. I know that talc (really hard to avoid and generally doesn’t break many people out) and mica are often used because they’re silky and soft, but personally I’ve found that products containing mica break me out. Many people do say that the minerals will not break you out, regardless, but watch your skin when using mineral powders/foundations. I’ve come across many that ruin my skin and few that make my skin smooth with no break outs. And believe it or not, some foundations don’t have aqua as the first ingredient!

This is what you’re going to need:
- Turmeric - it’s a spice so you can generally get it in any spice aisle in the grocery store. However, you need to make sure that it’s 100% turmeric without any preservatives etc.! I prefer organic and raw turmeric that comes in chunks, rather than the powdered turmeric - but either is fine.
- Chickpea flour.
- An oil - almond oil is an traditional choice, coconut oil works as well, or olive oil.
- An alternative to oil is honey and yogurt, or just honey/just yogurt. The yogurt is not a traditional way to make the turmeric mask, but it will work.
- A small portion of milk (if you’re not using yogurt or honey).
- A bowl, a teaspoon, and a tablespoon.
This is what you’re going to do:
- Two tablespoons of chickpea powder. You don’t need to level out the spoon though, basically just take two nice heaps of it and put it into the bowl.
- One teaspoon of turmeric powder (once again you don’t need to level it out).
- Half a tablespoon of whichever oil you’re using (I use almond oil).
- Dash of milk (do not add too much).
- Mix it together, and if it’s a bit dry (the powders are not all wet yet even after mixing), add a little bit more milk.
- When it’s done it should be a paste - not runny and not thick.
- Apply this evenly onto your face. Avoid your eyes completely and be careful with your nostrils.
Side notes: If you do get this into your eyes, make sure you wash thoroughly. It will burn a lot. It feels like most masks, it will get hard-ish after twenty minutes.
How long do you leave the mask on for? Twenty minutes and then wash if off in warm water.
Can I only use this on my face? No, definitely not. It can be used anywhere on the body.
What is this going to do for you?Turmeric is a natural antioxidant and it has antibacterial properties about it, but it’s not the same as something like tea tree oil. What it does though is prevent break outs if you continue to use it, softens and smooths your skin and it can prevent wrinkles - since it is an antioxidant.
